GV-498B - TV pattern generator 32 TEST PATTERNS SYNTHESIZED RF OUTPUT,SELECTABLE BY CHANNELS AND BY FREQUENCY BUILT-IN LOGOTYPE GENERATOR     The GV-498B TV pattern generator is a high performance unit. Built as a space saving compact unit, the GV-498B maintains the versatility of larger units. The signals are at a professional quality level that enables them to satisfy the most exacting requirements. This makes the GV-498B a particulary useful instrument for all the professional fields that require high quality images, such as final adjustment and checking lines, production studios, and technical repair services. Also, its user friendly format makes the GV-498B ideal as an educational tool in training video image technicians.     For visual or oscilloscope analysis of images, there are 32 test patterns with adjustable output. Geometrical adjustments can be done with the aid of the electronic circle which can be inserted in any of the patterns.     To analyze the chroma stage independently there are color and/ or burst cut-off controls.     As for detection of tuner or IF amplifier faults, the GV-498B has a fully synthesized radio frequency modulator which covers the 37 to 860 MHz range and includes an output attenuator. Tuning is possible by frequency or by channel. An encoder makes selection of patterns, frequencies and channels a very simple process.     The synthesized sound stage generates a carrier that can be modulated by an internal LF signal or by an external audio signal. It also has a large amount of auxiliary outputs, such as independent R, G and B, mixed synchronisms, oscilloscope synchronisms, Euroconnector, etc.     There is a factory mounted internal module which permits the insertion of a custom text or logotype. This module may be programmed in the factory as per customer requirements as an option. Also as an option it is possible to incorporate a separate Y-C output (luminance and chrominance).     The GV-498B is designed to fulfil the requirements of the PAL B, G, H TV system (CCIR Standard). There is also a version for DK, I, N, M PAL systems and NTSC M.
